Santorini Biennale of Arts

Over the summer, Melissa Campbell will be exhibiting in the Santorini Biennale of Arts in Greece. The theme is 'The Past: History, Time, Memory and Nostalgia'. How do you define your relationship with the past? How do your memories affect you in the present?

Constructed as a large thematic exhibition, the Biennale hopes to develop an investigation into how humanity accumulates a catalogue of personal fabric, and how these collected manifestations shape the patterns of our lives.

Showing works by more than 200 artists, from 25 countries, the Biennale will be based in the town of Pyrgos, and in five neighbouring villages. Santorini itself is steeped in history, myth, tradition and folk art. Alongside photography, films, installations, sculptures, paintings, drawings and ceramics, there will be a parallel programme of workshops, talks and film screenings.

The Biennale will be open to the public from 1st July until 30th September
